In this
semester, I have chosen the “Television” as my main topic. Most of my friends
in class thought I am crazy because who will write thousands of words about the
most common electrical equipment in our life. I know maybe some of you think it
is useless and non-significant, but please bare me.
Just what
we called the simple thing in our life also had a development in the society.
Same as nowadays the Apple’s produces normally appears. All the new things must
came across a process which from unknown and rare to popular, from popular to
normal, and from normal to the simple owing to there is no new interest and get
used to it. However Television step forward than computers, because television
changed from not indispensable equipment to daily furniture.
In 1927, Philo Farnsworth from the U.S made the world's first working
television system with electronic scanning of both the pickup and display
devices,[1] which he first demonstrated to the press on 1 September 1928.[1][2]
Television was founded after the World War I before the World War II, the year
after the invention of television, the British broadcasting Corporation(BBC)
was firstly running its broadcasting services with limited amount of hours and
days during a week. Compare to that of the U.S, the first regularly scheduled television
service began on July2, 1928. [3]According to picture (1), it is obvious that
the introduction in each country from different period. Those countries such as
Japan, the USA, and European countries owned power and won in The World War I
started the earliest. Following, Canada, China and other countries had
television after 1949, several years after The World War II and establish of
the republic of China. However in picture (2), people in the develop countries
have more televisions than that in developing countries. Therefore, television
owning rate on the hand reflected the life standard gap between developing
countries and developed countries.

It is also possible
to say that the development of the television led to the digital generation.
The fundamental principles of television were using electromechanical methods
to scan transmit and reproduce an image. [4] According to what I have searched
in the internet, the definition of television is telecommunication medium for
transmitting and receiving moving images that can monochrome (black and white)
or colored, with or without accompanying sound.[5] That kind of statement briefly
conclude what television basically looks like, somehow in the reality,
television played much more significant role and advanced more than that of ancient time.

I also love watching T.V. when i was young. The influence of the T.V. is really effective as we could hear and watch that we could spend our time. Which one do you think is interesting the radio or the T.V.?
ReplyDeleteAlthough I used to see TV since I was a kid, I didn't know about the history of it. pretty interesting.
ReplyDeleteand I was attracted about what you said, " Therefore, television owning rate on the hand reflected the life standard gap between developing countries and developed countries". I thought whether this could be true or not, because also poor country's people had TV, but probably not as many as in developed country.... Why do you think this happen? Is it only because they don't have enough money to buy it, or because there is no system to see the TV programs? or There are other reasons? What is your opinion?
l also love watching tv since i was young... but when i come to japan,,,, i stop watching tv... and stll i do not have the tv in my room. i just see the things through the internet. tv is still usuful but many people like to watch the news or other programs through the internet. because of this, in korea, there are smart tv which can use the internet through the tv
